Lucky the Jack Russell Terrier

“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to be him to be worthy of such devotion.” - Anonymous

Rest in peace, sweet boy. I love you and I miss you.

Summer at the lake.  While I filled up the Beetle, Lucky got in the driver’s seat, and I’m glad that I always wear my camera and didn’t leave it in the car.

Lucky and Keuffel’s first day. The best pictures are often right in front of you. After I uncovered the canary’s cage, Lucky looked at the cage and cried because he couldn’t get close enough to see the bird.

What’s a dog to do? While walking Lucky, I came upon this sign, and asked him to pose. After a couple of years, he was used to these requests.

Lucky brought joy to and made friends with everyone he met. All of the proceeds from this phot0, which I had permission to take, will be donated to Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church - which is in a part of Indiana that’s home to many Plain folk - to help repair the $50,000 in damage vandals recently did to the church.

The plate cleaner’s club. Since I was busy making pictures, Lucky decided he had a better chance of getting a treat from Cousin Kim.
